Summer 2020

Enter a Quilt

Important Quilt Entry Guidelines:

  • Anyone can enter a quilt into the Star Valley Quilt Trail (SVQT) and/or the quilt challenge.
  • No entry may have been in a previous SVQT show.
  • There will be prizes in all categories for judged quilts. Your entry may be non-judged also.
  • Entry fee is $10.00 (includes 1 quilt), $5.00 for each additional quilt.  Youth entries are FREE (age 16 and under). Fees are submitted with your quilt after receiving entry confirmation.
  • Your Entry Form and quilt photo (per quilt) must be received by July 25, 2020.  No quilts at this time.
  • Complete an Entry Form for each quilt entered.  Maximum of 3 entries per individual. Keep a copy of your Entry Form for your records.
  • SVQT will send you a confirmation acceptance email.  Be sure your email is on your Entry Form and SVQT address is in your computer contact list (so our messages don’t go to spam).
  • Accepted quilts and entry fees must be received by August 14, 2020. Mailing instructions for your quilt will be included with your confirmation email. In person quilt delivery instructions are on the Entry Form, page 2.
  • Unfinished quilts will not be accepted.
  • All quilts, regardless of size (except for miniatures) must have a 4″ wide hanging sleeve sewn the entire width of the top edge of the back of the quilt.  For quilts longer than 105″, the top edge of the sleeve must be 100″ up from the bottom of quilt (maximum hanging length). See Hanging Sleeve Instructions attached below.
  • If your quilt will be mailed in, include a pre-paid return label with each quilt.
  • Insurance is the sole responsibility of the entrant. SVQT assumes no liability for the entries. SVQT will handle your quilt(s) with great care. All exhibit halls will be locked during the overnight hours with hosts in the exhibit hall during business hours.
  • By entering your quilt, you are giving the SVQT and visitors permission to photograph it.
  • In the interest of preserving the history of today’s quilts, quilts must have an identifying label securely attached to the back of the quilt; who made the quilt, title, when, where.
  • Print and complete the Entry Form, include a quilt photo, and mail to:  Star Valley Quilt Trail – Quilt Entry Form, 72 North Branch Circle 7027, Star Valley Ranch, WY 83127
